Back to School
(Awarded Neil Morris Prize for Furniture 2004)
Rethinking the traditional school desk as the centre for contrasting activities in a primary classroom. Where space is limited and learning environments are restricted by the furniture available. The project looks at how the desk can become more adaptable and easily manipulated to create different set-ups to meet the needs of each pupil. Through insight the design addresses practical issues, whilst creating the possibility to customise the working environment.
