Inside Stories

Research commissioned by Hyde Housing, to uncover the real life experiences of social housing residents, to create an understanding of their daily lives, their aspirations and the challenges they face. Through a series of discussions with frontline staff and 40 in-depth ethnographic interviews with a variety of residents across different locations the research also aimed to investigate the causes of social and economic exclusion. The resident's personal stories will inform both policymaking and the activities of Housing Associations in the UK by highlighting the type of support and services needed to improve the quality of their lives.
